Flourish College Prep was created out of a vision of tutoring students differently. Our primary goal is to teach students how to learn. We hope not just to fill academic gaps but to equip kids to fill those gaps independently.

Caiden has been a full-time tutor for over a decade. After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in English and Philosophy, she worked at the Windward School for students with language-based learning disabilities. While she loved teaching, she struggled when she had to move on from a concept before all students had reached full understanding. When she discovered tutoring, she knew she had found her perfect teaching fit.
Caiden specializes in test prep, college essays, English, math, and study skills. She has helped students improve their scores by over 400 points on the SAT and up to 14 points on the ACT. But she is most gratified when students tell her they've gained overall confidence — or when they apply skills learned in tutoring to other areas of their life. It's not uncommon for Caiden to guide students through every step of the college prep process, from applications to school selection.
Caiden lives in South Portland with her dog Buster. She loves Russian literature, hiking in the Maine woods, writing poetry, and making (very bad) collages!
Ali brings over a decade of hands-on experience in applied math and science, giving her a unique ability to connect school concepts to real-world applications. She holds a bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and a master's in Data Analytics from Southern New Hampshire University, and has worked across industries as a chemical engineer, business intelligence analyst, data engineer, and data analytics director. This interdisciplinary background means she can offer students not just academic support, but genuine insight into where their education can take them.
Ali has helped students improve their grades by multiple letter grades across a range of subjects, specializing in high school sciences and mathematics, with experience ranging into post-graduate business courses. She also offers SAT/ACT tutoring, drawing on the extensive strategies of her co-founder Caiden, who first recognized Ali's natural teaching ability and brought her into tutoring several years ago.
In her free time, Ali is often running after her two daughters, dogs, cats, and chickens, or checking in on her bees. She also enjoys drawing, knitting, reading, and tennis.
